My proudest moments of work this year were my cover stories for The Daily. It was a big honor to have my stories chosen for the front page, since it reflected that the newsroom thought that the writing (and accompanying media) was strong enough to drive people to pick up the paper. I got a total of 3 cover stories this year, which played a big part in boosting my journalistic confidence enough to apply for the position of Assistant Health & Wellness Editor. This elevated my participation in the newsroom and taught me more about the process of fielding emails, generating pitches, and coordinating a section for the larger paper.
