Poetics of Collaboration

December 2020

One of the coolest courses I’ve taken virtually was an interdisciplinary honors class called “Poetics of Collaboration.” It was with the raddest group of fellow students, and every week we spent time sharing our creative work together and jamming on each other’s projects. As I talked about in my junior year reflections, I’ve had a hard time connecting to my virtual classes, but this was a breath of fresh air for me because of the people who made it up -- not necessarily capital-E English majors, but people who just wanted to spend some time with poetry and other creative forms of self-expression each week. This artifact is one of the final assignments I turned in, which was a revision on a previous “personal manifesto” assignment. I hadn’t had a creative outlet for a while, but I was pleasantly surprised with how I was able to tap back into it for this final project.
